Shipping & Delivery

We always try to post your items within 24hours of receiving the order, however this may be a little longer during busy periods.

We post out orders Monday to Friday and orders received after 3pm on a Friday, will be posted the next working day.

All of the delivery times provided below are approximate and we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by Royal Mail or other couriers that we use.

If your order has not been received as soon as you had hoped, please allow 10 working days before contacting us. This will allow any delays caused by the postage system or courier to be accounted for.

UK (including Channel Islands)

All orders over £40 will be delivered to you free of charge. Please note that we do reserve the right to send these by second-class or courier, but they should be with you within 3-5 working days. If you would like to guarantee swift delivery of your order, this is still possible, simply upgrade your delivery selection when you get to the checkout.

For all orders under £40, we charge a flat rate of £2.75 for delivery. The majority of packages will be sent first class and should be with you within 1 to 2 working days. For heavier or bulky packages we may send second-class or by courier and they should be with you within 3-5 working days.

Next Day Delivery: if your order needs to be urgently delivered, then you can also opt for a ‘next day delivery’ service when you are at the checkout. Unfortunately this is not available on Bank Holidays, or for deliveries to the Channel Islands, Northern Island, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and remote parts of Scotland. The order must be placed before 3pm in order to arrive the next working day. Orders placed after 3pm on Fridays will be dispatched the following working day.


To ensure a fast and reliable service we use Royal Mail's Airmail service for all European orders. Delivery will usually be between 3 to 5 working days and we charge a flat rate of £8 per order*.


We also use the Royal Mail's Airmail service for all other International Deliveries and this will take between 5 and 7 working days. We charge a flat rate of £17 per order*.

*Please note, that we reserve the right to request further payment for any European and International delivery costs where orders are particularly bulky or heavy, however we will always contact you beforehand to advise of any additional costs.

Likewise we will always reimburse any excess postage costs to our customers where the price to send something overseas has been significantly less than we have quoted here.

Customs charges are sometimes applied to packages sent overseas and these will be the responsibility of the customer to pay locally.

Please ensure that you provide us with the correct shipping address as Poppies & Polka Dots cannot be held responsible if a parcel is lost due to an incorrect address.

We do not post to PO Boxes.


Returns Policy

We make every effort to represent our products accurately and provide you with all the information you need in order to make your purchases. If you have any questions about anything you see on the website, then please do not hesitate to contact us first, we are very friendly and happy to help whenever possible!

Cut fabric, ribbons and trims cannot be returned unless they have been damaged during shipping. Please contact us as soon as possible having receiving the damaged goods and let us know that there is a problem. We will then reimburse any postage costs incurred in returning the items and will send replacement merchandise at no additional cost to the customer.

If you change your mind about one of the other items that we sell, then so long as they are unused and unopened we are happy to issue a full refund. Please contact us by email within 7 days of receiving the item, to explain the circumstances. A refund will be issued once the item has been received by Poppies & Polka Dots in its original condition.

When returning an unwanted item, the customer is liable for all postage costs. We would recommend that you send any returns by recorded delivery and obtain proof of postage. We cannot be held responsible for any items that are lost or damaged during transit.
